Buckley Building, Oxford Brookes UniversityATI Workshops

ATI workshops are designed to be as participative as possible, combining taught sections with group work.

One day workshops are usually limited to 12 delegates in order to provide sufficient one-to-one contact time.

Workshops are held at Oxford Brookes University, Headington, Oxford OX3 0DA, about one mile to the east of Oxford city centre, and about 20 minutes from the M40 Junction 8.

Discounts for 2010: Recognising that training budgets are under more  pressure than usual, I have held 2008 prices and am also able to offer a range of discounts:

  • Book one course and receive a 20% discount on a second and third.

  • More than one delegate from an authority on the same course? The second (or more) delegate receives a 20% discount.

  • If you would like to discuss the possibility of booking and paying over 2 financial years, email for details.

Host a Workshop: Another way to stretch the resources is for your authority to host your own workshop.

I will deliver the workshop at your offices and you can invite your colleagues or colleagues from other authorities.  You can even charge them to cover the costs involved, its entirely up to you.  The workshop can be designed to cover exactly what you want.  Email me if you are interested.

Local authorities and groups that have used the training in this way include Chichester District Council,  Wessex Tree Officers, Barnsley MBC, Ashford BC/Kent Tree and Landscape Officers, Cotswold DC and Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

Workshop feedback

I would like to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to you for the excellent training we received on enforcing tree preservation order legislation.

Following yesterday’s training I have received many complimentary reports from colleagues and delegates on the session’s useful and relevant content. The session provided invaluable training on the required standards for preparing casework and procedures for successful enforcement and prosecution. It was a highly informative and enjoyable day and was found by all who attended to be thoroughly essential training in developing their skills on TPO legal matters. I am sure this training will be of great benefit to the group for many years!"

Jon Matthews, Wokingham Borough Council

"Richard, for your information, we have just successfully prosecuted two developers here in Woking …To a large extent you and your courses have been a major inspiration in our pursuit of developers and contractors in ensuring they comply with agreed methods and specifications."

James Veats, Woking Borough Council
